Here's a recipe I get asked for a bunch... its a family favorite. The key is the teriyaki marinade. I really prefer it over store-bought types.
Teriyaki Marinade
1/2 C soy sauce
1 clove garlic, pressed (can use minced)
1 Tbs vegetable oil
2 tsp ground ginger
1/4 C sugar
1/4 hot water
Stir the marinade until the sugar is dissolved. Add a 1-2 lb pork tenderloin and let it marinate for 6-8 hours in the refrigerator. Pork can be grilled or baked - you can either follow the time on the pork's packaging or use a meat thermometer (160 degrees is done). Serve with rice and pineapple slices. We love to use leftover (fully cooked) marinade to pour over the meat and rice. I have also used the marinade with chicken - also yummy!

This is a good recipe and I agree I think the key is in the marinade! Thanks Courtney!
