In the midst of this frigid Canadian jet stream we are experiencing here (without ANY snow, mind you), its getting a little cabin-feverish in my house. Jack is discovering new ways to get in trouble. Yesterday it was throwing trains at the light fixture in his room during "rest time" and stamping his clothes with ink. Always fun. We have been out of the house everyday with various activities and errands, yet, still he is trying the mischievous thing which is driving me a little batty. To say the least.
I'm sure it has NOTHING to do with the fact that I have a nesting bug in the worst way, and I've been a little preoccupied digging deep inside closets, junk drawers, and the like. Ahem.
Upon bundling him up for a little jaunt outdoors to move and get fresh air, I hear "Moooommmy....It's too cold!" within the first two minutes. Clearly, he does not have my warm blood like I thought. I find myself starting a discussion on true cold, like "walking to class on the other side of campus in a snow blizzard where you can't see 3ft in front of you even when you wear your ski goggles and did I mention it was -25 degrees"... but he doesn't care. He just wants to go in and get the hot chocolate.
Isn't it amazing how a house FULL of new toys just cannot compare to running and playing in the warm sunshine?

Amen- a house full of new toys is nothing like the outdoors- Boone is proving to be a bit of a challenge for me and the Joshua- but there is a ton of indoor stuff that is offered to kids here- good luck!
That explains why Mike randomly gave Matt some old shirts...you have the nesting bug ;) I knew he didn't clean out his closet all on his own!!! HA! Don't you LOVE the nesting bug!!
