Mike and a friend painted the nursery today. I'm ecstatic! It's now a soft shade of yellow, which goes great with the bedding that is green, pink, yellow, and blue. There is still a bunch to do, but having that and some of the bedding feels like a huge accomplishment. I sat in there for a long time just taking it all in and praying for her. I'll post pictures when we have the nursery a little more put together.
We have also made progress on the name, which is HUGE for us. I tend to prefer whimsical and less traditional names. He likes the tried-and-true. I'll wait to post it until we are 100% sure... and no, it is NOT "eddie-o-a". Even Jackson doesn't like that name anymore. Thank goodness!
I made a list or two (imagine that!) today of all the things we need to pick up before our daughter comes, which led me to wander online to look at the prices. I ended up looking at some of the new things that have come out since Jackson entered this world... Things like Bumbo seats, BPA-free bottles, pacifier pods, and Piddle Pads for car seats (oh, how I wish we had that for Jackson... nothing is more frustrating that cleaning a car seat and reassembling it!).
I am so thankful for the essential things like the crib, car seat, changing table, etc we already have because of our son. We just have to supplement for the things that either broke, wore out, or are very boy-like. Pink is entering my house for the first time. :) Thank goodness my favorite consignment sale is coming up in March!
